Field Trips: Hampton Lane schedules approximately 2-3 field trips per year. We strive to have a Fall field trip, usually to a local farm or pumpkin patch. Our Spring trip is usually a parent attended field trip which has included a trip to the Maryland Zoo or The National Aquarium in Baltimore in past years.
The Baltimore County Read Rover Program:
Music Program: Throughout the school year each class has music with Miss Jamie, our music teacher in addition to daily singing and movement opportunities, culminating in a winter and spring program. Classes are held twice a week. All full time students will receive two classes per week while part time students will receive one class per week.
In House Guests: Our center has welcomed many different in-house guests, usually correlating with the studies or theme that we are concentrating on. They have included: The Fire Department, Police Department, magicians, dentists, architects, animals experts, aquarium exhibits, etc.
Chapel: Twice a month during the school year, we have chapel time, taught by the pastor or assistant pastor. The children gather on the altar of the church, sing songs and listen to stories.
Special Story Times: Several times a year the staff plans a special story time in conjunction with the theme or holiday.
Special Story Tellers: Approximately twice a year our school welcomes professional story-tellers to entertain the children.
