School Closure Policy

Hampton Lane aims to meet the needs of our working parents; therefore we make our own independent decisions to close due to inclement weather.

All decisions are made by 5:30 am. On occasion, Baltimore County reasons for school closings do not apply to our center. If it is safe for our employees and parents and we are able to staff the center we will make every effort to open. Therefore we DO NOT follow Baltimore County School closings exactly. The basic guideline to our closing procedures are listed on the School Closure Policy.

Emergency Preparedness

Hampton Lane has an MSDE approved Emergency Preparedness plan where basic protective guidelines will be followed.

  • Emergency notification list of numbers are posted by every phone.
  • The building Fire evacuation and escape routes are posted in every room.
  • In case of an emergency evacuation, children and faculty have alternate relocation options.
